I admire Edward Hopper's sense of mood, tension and mystery in his paintings. The urban landscape that I depict in "Cycles Bikes & Bins" is devoid of human presence to heighten the feeling of emptiness and aloneness that one can feel in a bustling urban street setting. In spite this isolation, however, I paint motorcycles, bicycles
and newspaper stands with strong saturated colors bathed in
serene and diffused lighting to infer the philosophies of Zen nothingness and Buddhist ever-present moment.
